What is Splunk?

Splunk is a data analysis application used in the Information Security industry to analyse and detect usage patterns on systems that have log files (live or saved). These log files are used to create charts and graphs that make it easier to read and understand large amounts of data.

Splunk can be used to detect bad actors trying to access your network, your systems and your application, file or database servers.
